Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information Toops Industrial Controls LLC ("Toops", "we", "us") collects through Basin, Basin Cloud and toopscontrols.com, how we use it, and who else handles it. Basin is a business service for operators of mining sites in the United States; it is not directed to children.
Information we collect
- Account information: the name and email address of people invited to Basin Cloud, their role, sign-in and security events (including multi-factor authentication status), and the IP address and browser used to sign in.
- Alert contacts: the email addresses or Telegram chats you choose to receive alerts.
- Site operating data: fan speeds and drive readings, power readings, miner temperatures, fan effort, hashrate and counts, outdoor temperature, equipment network addresses and identities, controller health, and configuration backups.
- Change records: a log on each controller of changes requested through its interface, with the network address they came from and, for changes made through Basin Cloud, the user's email address.
- Billing information: company name, billing contact and payment status. Card and bank details are entered with Stripe; we do not see or store full card or bank account numbers.
- Enquiries: what you send through our website forms (email address and, if you provide them, name, company, miner count and notes).
- Records of acceptance: which version of our Terms you accepted, when, and from which IP address and browser.
How we use it
We use this information to provide, secure and support Basin; send alerts and service messages; bill you; answer enquiries; meet legal obligations; and improve Basin. We may use de-identified, aggregated operating data to improve our models and products. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Who else handles it
We share information only with service providers that help us run Basin, under their own privacy and security commitments, and when the law requires it or to protect people, equipment or our rights. If our business is sold or merged, information may transfer to the successor under this policy.

Cookies
Basin Cloud uses a cookie to keep you signed in. Our website sets one cookie after you use the savings calculator form, so you are not asked again. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
Retention
- Account and site operating data are kept while you are a customer and afterwards until you ask us to delete them, so a returning customer's site can be restored. We may delete older operating data sooner.
- Billing records and records of acceptance are kept for as long as tax and contract law requires, generally seven years.
- Enquiries are kept as long as useful for following up, and deleted on request.
Security
We protect information with encrypted connections, access controls, optional multi-factor authentication for Basin Cloud, and backups. No system is perfectly secure; tell us at once if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete personal information we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. We may keep information we must retain by law. Account owners can remove users and alert contacts in Basin Cloud at any time.
Changes
We will post changes here with a new version and date, and email account owners about material changes before they take effect.
